Waikawau Beach is a hidden gem located in the Waikato Region of North Island, New Zealand. Accessed through a hand-dug tunnel, the beach features stunning natural beauty including a bright white sandy coastline, rolling cliffs, and crystal blue waters. From the beach you can explore the unique rock formations, enjoy a picnic or stroll along the beach, and because this area is relatively remote, there is usually little to no crowd and you can usually have it to yourself.

Photography info: I visited Waikawau Tunnel beach at sunset and it was beautiful catching the last light along the coastline and surf breaks. I flew my drone to capture an aerial perspective as well as taking wide angle landscape photos of the tunnel and along the beach.
