From today 10th July 2023 you have to pay an entrance fee of 200dkk, but you can go by yourself out to the lighthouse.

This is where you will see a scene of the latest movie James Bond 007 and the famous Seal woman statue. To get to Kalsoy you need to take a ferry from the second biggest town Klaksvik. If you visit the islands in summer time which I recommend you to do. Go at least 30 minutes before the ferry departs. The ferry is very small so not many cars can go. To see the schedule of the ferry go here - https://www.ssl.fo/en/timetable/ferry/56-klaksvik-sydradalur/ The trip from Klaksvík to Kalsoy takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

Once you arrive in Kalsoy, drive all the way to the last village Trøllanes. Before you start hiking make sure that you bought a ticket. Yes, the hike to Kallur lighthouse has a fee. You can choose to make the hike on your own or with a guide. It is not a hard hike so if there is the option to do the hike by yourself do it.

To arrive all the way out to the lighthouse it takes about 40 minutes or so. Once you reach the lighthouse, you will see the iconic cliffs. The view is just amazing all around the area. You can also see the sea stacks Risin & Kellingin
