Castle Stalker is a four-story tower house located in the Scottish county of Argyll. Set on a tidal island in Loch Laich, it boasts incredible views of the nearby Lynn of Lorne National Scenic Area. The castle has seen its fair share of Scottish royalty, with King James IV paying the castle a visit in the 1400s. After changing hands between clans MacDougall and Campbell throughout the 16th and 17th centuries, the castle was abandoned in 1840. In 1908, Charles Stewart of Achara purchased it and restored it to its former glory. Today, Castle Stalker is open to the public during the summer time, inviting weary travelers to discover this piece of Scotland's history!
