It is a collection of beautifully decorated kimono fabric pillars displayed in a designated area within the Randen Arashiyama Station. The installation was created by local artist Yasumichi Morita and was unveiled in 2013. The concept behind Kimono Forest is to celebrate and preserve the traditional kimono textile art while infusing it with a modern artistic touch.

You absolutely have to visit this place if you will still be in Arashiyama during dusk and afterwards. And usually, it gets so calm and quiet there after it gets dark, so grab a drink and a snack, and go sit there for just 10-15 minutes.

It is probably the most commonly shown place in my reels and stories because that is where I walk daily with my dogs, and this place still continues to amaze me.
