Hōkan-ji Temple is a stunning pagoda located in the Higashiyama district of Kyoto. Standing at an impressive 46 meters tall, this majestic structure has sloping roofs on each tier and was built by Imperial Prince Shotoku in 589 after he had dreamed about it.
