Stöðvarfjörður is a quaint village located in East Iceland, with less than 200 inhabitants. This small village offers unique attractions that cannot be found anywhere else in the country. Visitors can explore the stunning natural sights of the region, from giant mountain peaks to captivating sea geysers. According to local mythology, there are also three giant rocks known as Einbúi or "The Hermit." Petra's Stone Collection is also worth viewing, showcasing an impressive collection of stones and minerals from near areas. You can find amazing artifacts and works of art at the souvenir shops, along with amazing knitwear. Moreover, Stöðvarfjörður boasts some wonderful locations to visit, including Flögufoss waterfall, Folaldafoss, Vök baths & Spa, Djúpavogskörin hot spring and more! Whether you’re looking for culture, adventure or nature - this village has it all.
