Pembroke Road in the Taranaki region is a scenic and popular 13.2km drive that winds its way up the Mount Taranaki stratovolcano. The road rises 760 meters with an average gradient of 5.75% and culminates at the end car park at the Plateau, 1.7m above sea level.

Pembroke Road is another road that lines up with Mount Taranaki beautifully and makes for an amazing photo opportunity.

Use your mid range zoom lens for this location and works best at both sunrise and sunset.
