Passo Giau is a mountain pass in Italian Dolomites. It connects Cortina d'Ampezzo with Selva di Cadore. This road is definitely worth a drive! Those views will make you wanna stop every few minutes.

It is amazing place to camp for a night. You will be woken up to some of the best sunrise views you can wish for. If the weather allows it of course. It is also a good starting point for some hike including Averau, Nuvolau and Cinque Torri.

Where to stay: Directly on Passo Giau you can stay at Rifugio Fedare. You can also stay up in the mountains at one of these huts. You can reach them via hike but there is also cable car going there.

Another option is staying in Cortina d'Ampezzo: Low budget: Hotel Serena Cortina Hotel Regina Cortina Mid budget: Hotel De La Poste High budget: Faloria Mountain Spa Resort

Where to eat: Not many options in the area.
