Dunnottar Castle is a stunning cliff-top castle in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It has a rich and eventful history, having played an important role during the Wars of Scottish Independence and Jacobite Risings. Visitors marvel at the ruined remains of this impressive fortress, which consist of a 14th century tower house and 16th century palace. Infamous for being the place where the Honours of Scotland were hidden in the 17th century, Dunnottar Castle stands today as a breathtaking reminder of Scotland's turbulent past.
